Eureste Agenda for June 2008
During the month of June, Eureste participated in different events. The General Coordinator of Eureste project, Delphine Pennewaert, took part in these different activities as a speaker or as a participant.
Study Day - 11 June 2008
Last Wednesday 11 June 2008 on the premises of the International Press Center, a Study Day on the « Disaster, Media & victims » topic took place. Professional of the crisis and of the media world got together, discussed and exchanged ideas.

Eureste will participate in the "5th Worldwide Security Conference (WSC5)" organised by the East West Institute (EWI) in Brussels from 19 to 21 February 2008.

Minutes of the conference
On the 10th and 11th of September 2007 the European Forum for Urban Safety organised the final conference of the project « Cities against Terrorism». 4 European universities implemented project activities over a period of 15 months.
Eureste Handbook Dissemination Workshop
On the 17th and 18th of September, Sisu, ( the emergency psychosocial intervention department ) organized the first "Eureste Handbook Dissemination Workshop".

OSCE held a « high-level meeting on the victims of terrorism » in Vienna on the 13th and 14th of September. The Eureste project was represented by Delphine Pennewaert, and our presence at his conference on the victims of terrorism was of great significance.

During one of the many conferences that Eureste representatives attended, the association ‘SOS attentats’ and ‘SOS Terrorisme’ presented their new book: "Des vies brisées".
Eureste attends the 5th European Congress on CPR, prehospital care and prevention
On the 14th and 15th of September 2007, the Flemish Red Cross organised the 5th European Congress on CPR, prehospital care and prevention.
Working visit to New York
Within the framework of the Eureste project, two members of the Eureste project went to New York at the end of April (2007). The aim of this trip was to analyse the lessons learned from American experiences with various resource people following the September 11th attacks.
Eureste 2007-2008 ?
The 7th of July, the European Commission (DG of Liberty, Security and Justice) adopted a preparatory action in favour of the victims of terrorism.
Practical handbook
"Meeting needs in a crisis". The handbook is now completed. As a reminder, this practical handbook is dedicated to all individuals who may have to intervene in crisis situations. It is intended to allow the intervening parties to better understand the victims’ needs and to provide a more adapted response. Discover right away how they were evaluated.
